What is Forza Football?

Missed the last OL Reign and Chicago Red Stars matchup? Want to catch up on highlights from a weekend of college soccer? As much as we all love the game, we can’t be watching 24/7, and we’re bound to miss out on moments from our favorite leagues, teams, and players. Enter Forza Football.

Forza Football is a tech company with the goal of not only providing access to all the world’s soccer matches to every fan out there but of creating a better world of sport that promotes inclusivity and equality. Their app works to provide soccer lovers from all over the globe with detailed match info, lineups, live scores, video highlights, player profiles, and more for over 800 leagues and tournaments worldwide. And they’ve made it as easy as setting your favorites to receive instant alerts and push notifications.  

As mentioned, Forza Football values and strives for equality in the world of soccer. This mission has been central to how they’ve operated and expanded their company and footprint when it comes to soccer. It’s also why they’ve become the natural choice to follow for women’s soccer. 

Back in 2018, when they set this mission, Forza realized that their data provider only offered decent data for one women’s league – the UEFA Women’s Champions League. None of the other remaining leagues or tournaments for female players had any information or updates. Obviously, not the case for the equivalent men’s leagues and teams.

That’s when Forza Football decided to change things themselves. They built reporting tools to collect and share women’s soccer data with their users. From that single league in 2018, Forza Football now has, four years later, coverage for over 60 women’s leagues and tournaments.

Beyond gender, Forza Football has worked with fans and companies in the international soccer world to create an open dialog about racism, homophobia, and trust in FIFA and other soccer leaders. On their blog and other outlets, they have written articles and shed light on disparities within our soccer community to pressure for change.

They’ve also made an impact in our Girls Soccer Network community! Forza Football is the sponsor of our new Soccerista United mentorship program – which has allowed us to provide scholarships to young Socceristas that may not have been able to join otherwise. It’s a natural partnership in continuing the mission of making soccer more accessible in the U.S.
