It’s June, which means it’s officially Pride Month! It’s time to celebrate Pride with some of our favorite Queer couples and their stories. We’ve talked about many of the amazing couples in the soccer community over the years–make sure to check out our faves from 2023–so here are some of our current favorites.

Houston Dash and UWSNT keeper, Jane Campbell tied the knot with retired soccer player Christine Nairn. Before her retirement, Nairn and Campbell played together for the Dash. Their wedding was a beautiful and intimate seaside ceremony back in December of 2023, featuring laughter, family, friends, and bottles of beer.
Sarah Puntigam and Genessee Daughetee Puntigam

Married for two years this month, we have another Houston Dash player, Sarah Puntigam, and her wife, Genessee Daughetee Puntigam. The two have been together since 2019, having met during overlapping seasons with Montpellier. They played another season together, this time for FC Köln; the same year, they got married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony with a massive bridal party.

The most recently engaged couple in the NWSL is Cece Kizer and her fiancee, Alyssa Delsanter. The Dash offender proposed just last month after several years of dating Delsanter. The two are enjoying their fresh engagement with some well-earned summer vibes.
Sinead Farrelly and Maitane Lopez
Gotham FC Teammates Sinead Farrelly and MaitaneLopez have been together since at least last winter. These two international players joined Gotham last season and became public with their relationship shortly thereafter. Farrelly has recently retired but will no doubt be cheering on her girlfriend and former team all season.

Though she will be starting something new with the Utah Royals this year, Hannah Betfort has been in a relationship since 2021. She and her girlfriend, Anna Rose, always match each other’s vibe and goofy energy. They are an adventurous and fun-loving couple that we love to see out and about together.

Angharad James and Amy James Turner have been together for nearly a decade, and they couldn’t be cuter. These two met while playing for Notts County and have been inseparable ever since. They announced their engagement in 2020 and were married just last June.
