In this week’s women’s soccer news, the NWSL Championship match is set; Kadeisha Buchanan suffered a season-ending injury; Angel City announced a new training facility; and more!
High of the Week
The NWSL Championship match is set with the Orlando Pride and Washington Spirit facing off in Kansas City. The Pride are looking for their first NWSL Championship while the Spirit are looking for their second championship and first since 2021. The clubs have met twice this season with the Pride walking away with two wins. It’s a battle of the top two teams and it should be a fun match to watch.

Low of the Week
Chelsea announced this week that Kadeisha Buchanan suffered a torn ACL against Liverpool and will be out for the remainder of the season. It’s a big blow for Chelsea as she had appeared in five WSL games this season and was a key piece of their defense.
After tonight’s win, Sonia Bompastor confirmed that Kadeisha Buchanan has sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in our previous league fixture.
We’re all with you, @KeishaBalla. 💙
