Give Back To GSN

We strive to bring you content that you love and find useful from the world of women’s and girls’ soccer.  We do on GirlsSoccerNetwork.com, as well as our social channels; our podcast, Give N’ Go; our newsletter, Footypop; and the programs that we create, like Soccerista United.

Contrary to popular opinion, we are not a funded company. We get by through creating content for brands we truly believe in and want to share with you. It’s enough to keep the “virtual lights on”, but as our community grows and demands more from us, we’re getting stretched in ways we have never been before. This is beyond exciting, but it is also why we’re asking for your help!

There are a lot of moving parts to GSN. From the writers and content creators to coders and social media coordinators. Everyone who works for us is paid, not a huge amount, but we make sure they know that they’re appreciated and have value to us. Even though we’re NOT a non-profit, in many ways, we act like one.  So much of what we do is share information and support. We answer hundreds of questions each month and respond to thousands of direct messages on our social channels. We do our best to make sure every soccerista feels appreciated and heard because that is the mission of Girls Soccer Network!

But as we grow and figure out how to scale our ever-expanding company, we’re reaching out to the community to let them know we could use some help to keep bringing you the quality level of content we continue to generate. We’ve resisted putting up a paywall because, well, they’re annoying and we want anyone to be able to access GSN whenever they want. We’re exploring other options, like micropayments, but we haven’t quite landed on the best way to expand GSN. One thing is for sure, we know we want to do it with integrity and keep the heart and soul intact.

Our Raised Funds Will Go to:

~Upgrading our website SEO

Badly needed! This is one of those things that we’ve not been able to do because it would put us over the edge in terms of budget. But girl…do we need it!

~Marketing materials and expenses for our upcoming trip to the United Soccer Coaches Convention

For the last 5 years, we’ve gone to the convention and been able to bring you quality interviews and content from the largest gathering of coaches in North America. We are going this January too. We’ll be on Podcast Row, as usual, but we will also be presenting for the very first time. GSN founder, Jen Gruskoff and University of Iowa Captain, Samantha Cary will be taking the stage and talking about “The Power of Media to Link Soccer’s Generations and Elevate the Girls’ Game.” Not only that, but the NWSL Draft is back at the convention so we will be getting great content with the latest and greatest college draftees and sharing that with ohttps://chicagoventures.com/team/kevin-willer/

~Administrative Assistance

We’re in need of some serious admin help. We’d love to hire a couple of part-timers to join the team to help with everything from correspondence to creating spreadsheets to keep us organized so we can serve the community better!

We know that times are hard for many people and that any amount may be too much at this time. Please worry not. We love what we do and bringing you content brings us massive joy. That will not stop. But if you have a little extra to donate, then we’d greatly appreciate it. We’re accepting any amount that you want to give. Here are some perks:
