There’s great debate over just how reliable zodiac signs and horoscopes are, there’s no denying that analyzing them is a fun way to (maybe) learn something new about yourself. By learning which USWNT players match your zodiac sign, you could gain some new perspective on the type of player you are.

Aries (March 21 – April 19) – Julie Ertz

The symbol for Aries is the ram: steadfast, strong, and determined. Who does that also describe? Julie Ertz, the fiery defensive midfielder who has a tendency to play unashamedly rough.

When Ertz plays, she brings an electric energy to the field that is almost tangible. She never goes into a challenge timidly and plays with an enviable confidence no matter what position she’s playing.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20) – Rose Lavelle, Mallory Pugh, and Abby Dahlkemper

People with Taurus as their sign are focused and ambitious. They’re an earth sign that doesn’t mind putting in the dirty work to achieve their goals.

Though Davidson has only been with the USWNT a short time, her pragmatic approach to her career proves she can bring a steady presence to the team’s defense. Davidson notably made the difficult decision to leave Stanford early to prepare for the 2019 World Cup.

Libra (September 23 – October 22) – Ashlynn Harris, Catarina Macario, and Sam Mewis

Libras are balanced and poised, two traits never so present on the USWNT than in Ashlynn Harris and Sam Mewis. As a goalkeeper, Harris is composed and in charge, not panicked and uncertain. Mewis brings much the same qualities to the midfield, where her vision and decision-making ability rarely fails.

Frequently associated with control and intuition, the Scorpio is somewhat of a puppet-master, pulling the strings from behind the scenes. Aquarians tend to be both extroverted and fiercely independent. They are somehow both reliable and free-spirited champions of change and progressive ideas. In personal relationships, though, they can be aloof and distant.

Though many USWNT stars may fit this description, goalkeeper Jane Campbell is the team’s only Aquarius. While her experience with the USWNT may be limited up till now, she’s been earmarked as a potential #1 for the future. Though Aquarians can be a bit stubborn at times, there’s probably no better “negative” quality for a defensive player to have.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20) – Jess McDonald and Morgan Brian

Pisces are empathetic and creative. If you’re a Pisces, you share that in common with Jess McDonald and Morgan Brian. The passionate side of Pisces is perhaps no more exemplified than in McDonald, whose drive to play at the highest level saw her make her first World Cup roster at 31.

Morgan Brian, on the other hand, is a perfect example of the creative and adaptable side of Pisces.
