High of the Week

It’s been a long time coming, but the USWNT announced that they had reached an equal pay agreement with U.S. Soccer after a six-year lawsuit. It’s been something long overdue for women’s soccer.

Low of the Week

It was a tough day in the office for Meikayla Moore of New Zealand against the U.S. The defender got a hat trick of own goals during the first half of the match. She found herself in some challenging situations defending dangerous crosses. It was a streak of bad luck that Moore will want to forget about.

News of the Week

This week the Chicago Red Stars announced a partnership with US Fertility and Fertility Centers of Illinois. The partnership will help to provide players with fertility care options. Chicago is the second club to have a partnership like this, with Racing Louisville being the first.

Goal of the Week

Against England, Lina Magull had a beautiful free-kick goal for Germany. The goal tied the game at 1-1 before the half, but England went on to win 3-1.

Win of the Week

In their last game of the Arnold Clark Cup, England came away with a massive 3-1 win over Germany. After tying in their first two matches, the hosts got their win. The three points lifted England to winning the first-ever Arnold Clark Cup.

Player of the Week

It was another big week for Catarina Macario. She was impressive for the USWNT during the SheBelieves Cup, but her best game came against Iceland. The forward had a brace and an assist in the 5-0 victory. She was also named the MVP of the tournament.
