Maika Hamano

Born in January 2004, Hamano is a 19-year-old forward who plays on Japan’s Women’s National Team. She recently joined Chelsea and made her mark on the Japan U20 National Team. What sets Hamano apart is her deception. She is able to confuse the back line, allowing her to make space for a through ball. Additionally, her touches are clean and her shots are calm and effective. Look out for number 23 this summer!

Tarciane Karen

Born in 2003, Karen is a 19-year-old who plays on Brazil’s Women’s National Team as a center defender. She played in the U20 Women’s World Cup, where she scored against Costa Rica in overtime to win the game. Karen has proved to be dangerous on corner kicks. She is six feet tall and can get to the ball in the air for header goals. In the back, she is strong on the ball and a powerful  presence in the defensive half.

This accomplishment makes her the youngest player that has ever started for the USWNT. Thompson currently plays for Angel City, where she has already scored three goals in eight matches.

Her speed is unmatched and the technique she has to pick out shots has added immensely to her game. She changes the tempo as soon as she sets foot on the field and is definitely a fan favorite, especially for young girls.

And finally, she played on the National Team in the Copa America, where she deservingly won the Golden Ball. Caicedo has proved to be very crafty and creative when defenders are on her. With these skills, she is able to create space for herself to get shots on goal.

Amanda Allen

Born in 2005, Allen is an 18-year-old who has played with the Canadian National Team as a forward. Allen has just signed to play for Orlando Pride. She made her first international appearance in 2022. She also currently plays for the U20 National Team, where she has scored two goals in three games.
