8 Books By USWNT Players You Should Read

There are many factors that can help contribute to being a successful Soccerista. It is not only important to play the game, but it is important to learn from those that have overcome obstacles and paved the way for younger generations. There are several players that were on or are currently on the USWNT that have shared their stories through their own books. Here are eight USWNT books you should read to learn more about the game and what it takes to play at the top level. 

 

Megan Rapinoe – One Life

After the 2019 World Cup, Megan Rapinoe was on top of the world – and deservedly so. She shared her journey in One Life, sharing her entire career with fans. In Rapinoe’s book, fans learn the ups and downs of the winger’s career that lead her to become the world’s best female player. But Rapinoe’s soccer journey is inexplicably tied to her personal one. In One Life, readers can learn just how Rapinoe found the courage to be unashamedly herself and use her voice.

 

Carli Lloyd – When Nobody was Watching

Carli Lloyd’s book about her journey on the USWNT is one that every soccer player should read. Bonus: Caitlin Murray – The National Team

Murray is no USWNTer, but this book is really a can’t miss for all fans of the Stars and Stripes. Murray takes fans inside the entire history of the team, from their humble beginnings to the long-awaited third star. The National Team is the only book of its kind out there. If you want to know everything there is to know about the team, understand their fight for equal pay and support, or simply learn more about this incredible team, this is a must-read.
