It’s a Women’s Soccer summer spectacular in July, and we at GSN are here for all of it. NWSL action resumed along with the CONCACAF Championship and the beginning of the UEFA Women’s Euro Championship. Between this summer and the Women’s World Cup around the same time next year, these two years of women’s soccer will be incredible. Choosing a top five from the recent slate of games was more challenging than usual, but the goals were still awesome. Let’s recap the best women’s soccer goals from the CONCACAF Women’s Championship and UEFA Women’s Championship.

Spain is one of the favorites to win the competition, and they came out and dominated their opening match against Finland. However, the match was a little bittersweet with one of their superstars Alexia Putellas watching from the stands. That’s what makes this goal even more special.
Aitana Bonmati showed she can do it all. Not only is she technical with her feet, but she can head the ball with precision as well. Bonmati makes the slightest adjustment in midair and it allowed for her to head the ball perfectly over the outstretched arm of the keeper. When Spain plays like this, they’re almost impossible to beat.
4. Guro Reiten – Norway
🇳🇴 A superb free-kick from @guro_reiten 🎯

Guro Reiten has scored many goals for Chelsea just like this one, but this time it was for her country. The midfield maestro had a tough angle to work with but made it look easy. Reiten is playing mind games with the keeper, most lefties would try to bend it around and over the wall. Not Reiten, who fooled the keeper by going to the same side.
Watch the keeper’s feet, she takes a slight step to the left, and by then, it’s too late. Reiten’s shot has more than enough power, and bend on it to beat the keeper. This is a great goal on so many levels, Norway has been my dark horse in this tournament, and she’s the biggest reason why.
3. Delphine Cascarino – France

Delphine Cascarino’s star power continues to grow as she plays for club and country. She’s able to wreak havoc against opposing defenses. This goal is no different as there are defenders in the area, but no one can step to her close enough to close her down.
Once Cascarino picks her head up, she’s got one thought on her mind, to go for goal. The ball left her foot and flew into the far corner with no fuss at all. The keeper had no chance of stopping this one.
2. Sherly Jeudy – Haiti
The amazing goal by @JeudySherly 🤯🚀@fhfhaiti 🇭🇹 #CWC pic.twitter.com/4Lz0b4xpj7

Haiti is absolutely one of the best stories in sports right now and is one win away from qualifying for the World Cup. How they got there was sealed by Sherly Jeudy as they led 2-0 with Mexico down to ten players. This is an all-time great moment that should be played as a part of Haiti’s soccer history. The beauty of this free-kick is the lack of a run-up from Jeudy.
The fact that she could generate so much power and curve on the ball with such a small run-up is incredible. The keeper did everything she could to get across in the time, but the shot was too accurate to be stopped—what a goal for Sherly Jeudy and what a moment for Haiti.
1. Katherine Alvarado – Costa Rica
GOLAZO 🤯⚽️
¡Dónde la puso @kaalvarado91!

Costa Rica is headed to the World Cup as one of the more underrated teams that people aren’t talking about coming out of the CONCACAF region. Rocky Rodriguez is their superstar and leader, but we’ve seen players like Shirley Cruz score incredible goals for her country and the OL Reign.
Could Katherine Alvarado be next to do so? Well when you’re scoring firecrackers like this goal, you’re surely going to turn some heads. The ball left point A–Alvarado’s foot–and literally went straight to point B, the top corner of the net. It does not get better than this when striking a football. Even with a defender on her back, it didn’t matter. This has to be a goal that Katherine Alvarado will never forget.
