The United Soccer League announced Amanda Vandervort as the first President of the USL Super League to lead the charge. Scheduled to start in 2023, the Super League is a professional women’s soccer league and sits atop the USL pathway pyramid.
Vandervort will direct and oversee the youth-to-pro pathway starting at Super Y League through the USL Academy, pre-professional USL W League, and USL Super League. Vandervort played goalkeeper at the University of Wyoming and was a two-year team captain. After graduating, she coached the New York University women’s soccer team for four years.
