As always, this week’s edition of Top 5 Goals features a jaw-dropping list of impressive goals courtesy of England, Australia, and America. The USWNT clinched another SheBelieves Cup title, while the FA Cup saw the field whittled down to eight teams, and the A-League had a goal-of-the-season candidate. Here are the best women’s soccer goals from the SheBelieves Cup, FA Cup, and A-League.
5. Alex Morgan – USWNT

Alex Morgan helped put the finishing touches on a great SheBelieves Cup for the USWNT. Up 1-0 against Brazil, Morgan picked up this deflected ball outside of the box and knew what to do with it.
All Morgan needed was one touch to line up the shot before whipping her shot into the far corner. When Alex Morgan is playing this well, she’s unstoppable. Good luck to all the teams trying to guard her at the World Cup this summer.ย
4. Vilde Boa Risa – Manchester United
Still thinking about this goal from @VildeBoeRisa ๐คฉ#WomensFACup @ManUtdWomenpic.twitter.com/avpPvMKV4o

Vilde Boa Risa is a talented Norwegian who hasn’t been able to break into the starting lineup as often as she would like. Scoring a goal like this is a great way to get Marc Skinner’s attention. This is how to strike a free kick. The ball left Risa’s foot and flew directly into the top corner without fuss.
The shot had the perfect combination of power and bend; no goalie in the world is saving that.ย ย
3. Lee Geum-min – Brighton and Hove Albion
What a strike from Lee ๐ฑ#WomensFACup @BHAFCWomen pic.twitter.com/hX32eSQdqF

Lee Geum-min is one of South Korea’s best midfield players, so Brighton signed her from Manchester City. When allowed to show off her technique, Geum-min came through quickly. Watch how Geum-min let the ball bounce off her chest first, wait for it to come down, and time the half-volley. It’s beautiful to watch how fluid Lee Geum-min is on the ball, and she made this goal look easy, a clean strike from a great player.ย
2. Cath Zimmerman – Melbourne Victory
That is an absolute worldie!! ๐คฏ๐ฅ

Fortune favors the brave, a saying that perfectly applies to the goal Cath Zimmerman scored for the Melbourne Victory over the weekend.
Zimmerman received the pass, picked her head up, and saw the keeper slightly off her line. Even with a defender sliding in at the last second, Zimmerman was audacious enough to go for the chip.
The margin of error is small, with too little or too much power, and the keeper either tips it over the bar or the shot misses. Yet, Zimmerman struck it to perfection, and it will surely be a goal-of-the-season candidate in the A-League this season.ย
1. Filippa Angeldahl – Manchester City
Wow! That is amazing from Angeldahl ๐ฑ#WomensFACup @ManCityWomen pic.twitter.com/DNg7I0Oq88
— Barclays Women's Super League (@BarclaysWSL) February 27, 2023
Howitzer, screamer, banger, and worldie are all adjectives I would use to describe this goal from Filippa Angeldahl. This goal is genuinely one of the inch-perfect connections a player can make.
The ball touched the upper 90, exactly where the targets go when shooting in practice. Angeldahl hit it so well she would’ve shattered whatever target was in its way. Watching this goal feels right, along with seeing the ball ripple the net like that, is just perfect.
It has to take the top spot on this week’s list.ย
