As both title races in England and Australia heat up, the games and goals get better and better. These leagues are two of the few that fans around the world can actually watch, which is huge for growing WoSo as a whole. This weekโs top women’s soccer goals feature some names you might recognize. Without further ado, letโs get into the top women’s soccer goals of the week from the FA WSL and W-League.ย

Vivianne Miedema – Arsenal
What a ?????? from @VivianneMiedema ?

We’re struggling to come up with new adjectives to describe Vivianne Miedema’s goals at the same rate she’s scoring them โ she’s always an FA WSL player to watch. This was a great individual effort after receiving the ball from the throw-in. The defender does not do a good enough job of putting a body on Miedema, but thatโs easier said than done with the striker’s speed. Once Miedema got to her spot, she smashed the ball into the top corner with the keeper coming close but not close enough.ย

Kristy Hanson – Manchester United

Manchester United was able to keep a solid lead over Arsenal for third in the table with a win over Aston Villa. Kirsty Hanson got the scoring started with this wicked strike. The defender did get the slightest of deflections when trying to stop the shot, but Hanson got too much power on the strike. It was more than enough to overwhelm the keeper.ย

Inessa Kaagman – Brighton and Hove Albion
A brilliant flick-on by @EllieBrazil_ and @InessaKaagman scores with a sweet left-footed strike! ?

This is a lovely (and direct) bit of play from Brighton that Inessa Kaagman finished very well. As the cross and flick-on came into the box, Kaagman had only a second to compose herself. The Dutch international came through in a big way with a technical half-volley to find the far corner. As a former Everton player, Brighton expects Kaagman to make an impact, and she’s so far living up to it.ย

Mallory Weber is a veteran who has provided valuable skill and experience to Adelaide United this season. Sheโs capable of scoring when given a chance in both the NWSL and W-League; this time, it would be from the land down under. This is a nice one-on-one move down the left-wing, yet Weber still had a difficult angle based on where she was in the box. The accuracy was inch-perfect. It just snuck inside the side netting, a thing of beauty with no chance for the keeper.ย

Bianca Galic – Canberra United
Bianca Galic steals one from the @gracemaher10 playbook of long-range strikes!

Either the keepers in the W-League need to work on their positioning, or the players are getting really good at long-range efforts. Bianca Galic took a big risk going for the shot from so far out; she’d have to apologize to her teammates if she missed. The keeper was off her line, and Galicโs shot had just enough on it to deflect off her hand and in. Itโs one of those goals to add to the career highlight reel and an unexpected one at that.ย
