5. Lexi Wright – UCLA

UCLA will likely be named the new No. 1 team in the country after two huge wins over Duke and North Carolina. Lexi Wright managed to bring her team back into the match with this solo spectacular. Taking on multiple defenders, Wright went left, then right, and eventually got back onto her left foot while breaking the defenderโ€™s ankles in the process.

Once she got back onto her left foot, Wright knew exactly what she wanted to do with it. Wright fired her shot past the keeper on the far post to complete an awesome move. UCLAโ€™s stock is on the rise in the early part of the NCAA season.ย

4. Jada Colbert – Iowa State

The SUNY Albany transfer gave Iowa State a big lift with this amazing backheel goal that fooled everyone. Colbert was left unmarked in the box, and while it might not have been intended for the ball to go to her, Colbert improvised in the best way possible.

Her quick thinking, balance, and skill are at an all-time high in this play. With the goalie already diving to her right, once Colbert redirected the ball, it was all over. This is a thing of beauty.ย

3. Reilyn Turner – UCLA

Reilyn Turner is one of the best players in the country and is UCLAโ€™s star player who plays a significant role for them. Turner came through for her team in the clutch with this game-winner with less than ten minutes to go against North Carolina.

After Turner beat out a Tar Heel player on the sideline, she was off to the races with loads of space in front of her. The defender and the keeper mightโ€™ve thought Turner would take a couple more dribbles before shooting. Instead, she took the shot early, and the power of her shot beat the keeper easily on the near post. If Reilyn Turner keeps playing at this level, UCLA will have an amazing year.ย

2. Adriana Leon – Canada

The Canadians took on Australia in what was the marquee matchup of the international break. It was close throughout, but Adriana Leon was the difference in the end. One of Manchester Unitedโ€™s newest signings came through for her country with this perfect long-distance strike. The second angle on the goal shows how the ball had little to no deviation; the ball flew right into the top corner.

Leon is one of Canadaโ€™s more underrated players, and hopefully, she gets similar opportunities to shine ahead of the World Cup.ย

1. Lena Silano – Long Beach State

This has to take the cake for the goal of the week, and it came at the perfect time for Long Beach State.

Trailing San Diego 2-1, Elysia Laramie did everything she could to beat her defender and get the ball into the box. The cross came in slightly behind Lena Silano, allowing her to attempt the bicycle kick.

Silano leaped and got more than enough on it to beat the keeper for a jaw-dropping finish. Look at Silanoโ€™s reaction to her own goal. She canโ€™t even believe it herself. This has to be one of the best goals of the year to secure a tie for Long Beach State.ย
