Blayze: Get Mentored by World-Class Coaches Anytime, Anywhere

The Girls Soccer Network Community can get their first coaching session FREE with the code GSN2021.

Every soccerista looking to better their game could use individual training. It’s just a fact. If team practices were targeted to the needs of each player, you’d be out at the field til 2am. Unfortunately, the concept of individual training has gotten a bad rap, an expensive rap, and a just plain wrong rap. Your best resource shouldn’t be some YouTube video of how to get your weak foot stronger geared towards thousands of viewers. It also shouldn’t be the closest person to you who you found on some app or a dude you have to travel an hour to who charges a hundred bucks per session. That’s where Blayze comes in.

Back in 2019, former championship racecar driver Dion von Moltke recognized the deep-seated problems with individual coaching and wanted to do something about it. Months later, Blayze Coaching was born. Starting with motorsports, von Moltke and his team developed a platform aimed at connecting the best coaches in the world with athletes, anywhere in the world, seeking to take their talents to the next level. Blossoming out of the service’s success within the motorsport space, Blayze has now extended out to surfing, stand-up paddling, and now, soccer.

“Our hope is, as we scale, we make a long-lasting impact in every market we enter by giving players, parents, and families opportunities to learn from world-class coaches that wouldn’t have had the opportunity without Blayze,” said von Moltke.

The difference in Blayze lies in its accessibility and personalization. It doesn’t matter if you are signing up (which is free, by the way!) from South Africa or South Dakota when you begin this individual coaching process. It doesn’t matter if the one hour of the day you have available doesn’t line up with the coach you’re trying to work with. You also don’t need to spend a whole bunch of time vetting a coach. Blayze does all that for you.

With those major elements crossed off that list of Things You Need To Stress About, all you need to focus on is a camera and some WiFi. A soccerista, for example, will take a video of themselves hitting long balls or diving. You can also gather up some clips you may have from recent games. Then, you’ll get on the Blayze website, select your coach and send in the video. Pretty soon, you’ll receive your personalized video analysis where the coach you have chosen has identified the areas that need specific attention.

Stop it and start it whenever you want. Replay the video as many times as you want. This resource is yours; it was tailored to you and can be tapped into in any way you need.

For women’s sports, in particular, Blayze has the potential to be a real game-changer.

“We’re all about access, affordability to coaching in sport. I think a large part of that is we look at groups that didn’t have as much access or didn’t get to look up to as many people,” said von Moltke. “When you look at women’s sports, that really stands out. There might not be as many mentors.”

He’s right. Women’s sports are bereft of female coaches

“There are tons of world-class amazing coaches who don’t end up coaching because the money is terrible,” said von Moltke. “What we want to do is to connect more learners with those world-class coaches in a personalized way and focus on scaling those coaches so they can have a deeper impact, so they look to coaching as a career.”

Blayze aims to have 50% of the coaches on the platform be female coaches.

More women coaching. More personalized coaching. More accessible coaching. Blayze is extinguishing barriers and igniting opportunity.
