Cedella Marley’s Inaugural ‘Football Is Freedom’ Fundraising Match On October 24

Cedella Marley, the Bob Marley Group of companies CEO, is launching the inaugural Football is Freedom Fundraising match on Sunday, October 24 at 5:00 PM ET. The match will feature the national teams of Jamaica and Costa Rica at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 

This is Cedella Marley’s seventh year as Global Ambassador for the Jamaica Women’s Football Programme, and this is the first year that her advocacy has expanded to the women’s game. Her new Football is Freedom Initiative aims to provide resources for the development of women’s football in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as diaspora communities in the United States. 

The official match DJ is DJ GQ and there will be special guest appearances by Casely, Byron Sales, and a surprise halftime performance. The fan zone opens at 3:00 PM ET, with kickoff at 5:00 PM. Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased online here.
