Christen Press is officially back in team training with Angel City. Sheโ€™s been out for around two years but has been making progress towards competing again since the beginning of this year after four knee surgeries. Angel City continues to struggle to find wins this season, so if their franchise player can make a return, itโ€™ll not only be a morale boost but also an addition of talent to the pitch.ย

Low of the Weekend

The Olympics are in about a month, and anytime you see a player get injured, who youโ€™d assume to be a lock for the USWNT roster, you just have to cringe a bit. Midfielder Sam Coffey suffered an ankle injury, leaving her out of the Thornsโ€™ most recent match. The club announced sheโ€™s being monitored week to week, so hopefully, itโ€™s nothing she can’t overcome by the time of the womenโ€™s soccer Olympic tournament.ย

The Danish womenโ€™s national soccer team won an important achievement: equal pay! It was partially thanks to the menโ€™s team refusing to take a pay increase since the womenโ€™s team was being compensated less.ย

Save of the Weekendย

None other than Jane Campbell could come up with this magnificent stop when it mattered most. Houston and LA were tied 0-0, but the Dash gave up a PK in the second half. Campbell came to the rescue and made this save and made one later in the game, too, to keep the game at a draw.ย ย

Goal of the Weekendย

Another Bethune buzzer beater, and what a beautiful goal it was! The rookie has been on fire and has five goals and eight assists on the season. Plus, sheโ€™s the first player to have two result-changing goals in the 95th minute or later!

Stevens has found her form with Gotham FC this year. Early this season, she became the first Gotham player to score in three consecutive matches. During the match against Louisville, she hit this ridiculous volley to get the 2-0 lead.ย ย
