USWNT Lift The Trophy

The USWNT won the tournament for a fourth straight time and sixth overall win, picking up three straight wins in the tournament. The team conceded only one goal throughout the SheBelieves Cup, with that goal coming in their last match against Brazil.ย

The tournament was a much-needed test for the USWNT against quality opponents. They were able to put together three impressive games, and while thereโ€™s still a lot of work to be done before the World Cup, it was a positive sign for this team as they look to win their third straight World Cup.ย

Showing Solidarity with Canadaย

The Canadian Womenโ€™s National Team has been going through a tough battle with their Federation for equal pay and resources. The Canadian players held out from practice before being forced to play in the tournament to avoid sanctions from Canada Soccer. Ahead of the match against the USWNT, they wore their warm-up shirts inside out as a form of protest.ย

Throughout the tournament, they also wore purple wristbands, and the USWNT and Japan joined in this as well, showing their support for them.ย
