5. Sarina Bolden – Newcastle Jets

Sarina Bolden burst onto the scene at the World Cup last summer for the Philippines. The Newcastle Jets signed her, and the results have been phenomenal. Bolden looks like a star and will have the Jets in the hunt for the top four playoff spots.
The striker did well to outrun her defender, but she still had a lot to do. Bolden has the confidence and the audacity to go for the chip from a tough position, and she executed it perfectly. Get used to Sarina Bolden scoring in the A-League; you’ll see her and that smile running around a few more times in celebration this season.
4. Aurora Galli – Everton

Aurora Galli signed for Everton from Italian giant Juventus, and the midfield maestro has been an integral part of the team since 2021. Galli has been a distributor; scoring goals is not how she normally impacts games. However, this goal allowed her to show what she was capable of. Galli didn’t need a touch to settle herself. Instead, she struck it on the one-time. Watch how the ball arrowed off of her foot and off the post before landing on the far side of the net. The technique is other-worldly to take it on without a touch and a goal to remember for Aurora Galli.
3. Lauren James – Chelsea

Lauren James has blossomed into one of the world’s best players, and this goal is the best indicator of that. James makes this look effortless, like she isn’t even trying. James is going at half-speed while the Bristol City defenders are doing everything they have to try to stop her. Even the way she stepped into the shot and hit it looked more like a moment out of training than a real game because of how casually she stuck the ball in the top corner. If Lauren James keeps this up, Lyon or Barcelona will come calling to sign her, and Chelsea will have a hard time keeping a hold of her.
2. Bunny Shaw – Manchester City

Bunny Shaw is special, and the Women’s Super League is becoming her playground. This is the kind of goal you’ll rarely see attempted, let alone scored. Bunny Shaw saw the keeper come off her line, but to take a left-football chip shot from the left side of the box to score is incredible. 99.9% of players wouldn’t even think of attempting something like that when it comes to their weaker foot. They don’t want to embarrass themselves by mis-hitting it or missing the ball completely. You could ask players to try and recreate that in training, and they’d struggle to do that at least once or twice in 10 tries. Shaw located the ball over her shoulder, executed the shot, and made it look easy. Bunny needs to get her respect in world soccer. She deserves it.
1. Adriana Leon – Aston Villa
That skill from @LeonAdriana9 ๐ฅ

Adriana Leon is a solid veteran known for strong attacking play as a winger. The Canadian international continues to contribute at a high level, now for Aston Villa. The physicality, balance, composure, and touch needed to score this goal are all on display for Leon. There are at least two or three instances where she might’ve lost the ball, especially at the end, but her strength helped hold off the defender. Still, the keeper is in position, but because Leon paused, the keeper can’t get a good read, and the shot ends up in the back of the netโa great piece of skill from the Canadian. The national team can’t forget about her when she scores goals like these.
