Europe’s best leagues are reaching the end of what has been an incredible season across the board. The FA WSL and Serie A Femminile are close to crowning champions, while the NWSL is merely a third of the way into their regular season. There are only a few weeks left before all of the focus shifts to the NWSL; we have to enjoy all this women’s soccer action while we can. Here are the Top 5 Goals from the NWSL Matchweek 7, the FA WSL, and Serie A Femminile.
5. Stina Blackstenius – Arsenal

Stina Blackstenius single-handedly changed the FA WSL title race with her two goals to win the game in stoppage time. Kim Little’s pass is sublime; the technique, finesse, and accuracy are perfect. Blackstenius timed her run and was able to head the ball back across the keeper, who had no chance of saving it.
Manchester City must be devastated by this result, as Chelsea are now firmly back in the title race. The Blues owe Stina Blackstenius and Arsenal a huge thank you for that dramatic win.
4. Sam Coffey – Portland Thorns

Sam Coffey continues to get better and better with each season, she’s becoming a critical player for both club and country. Coffey is a versatile midfielder who is not only a great passer but an underrated finisher.
Notice how Coffey opened her hips up in order to get her body around the ball while running onto it quickly. This reverse camera angle highlights how tough of a finish this was, as most players will either hit it right at the keeper or put the shot wide.
Sam Coffey’s evolution is happening before our very eyes, we’re lucky to be able to see it in real time.
3. Guro Reiten – Chelsea

Chelsea’s resounding 8-0 win over Bristol City has turned the FA WSL title race on its head. The Blues are ahead of Manchester City on goal differential. A win would put them ahead of Manchester City points, which didn’t seem possible a week ago. Guro Reiten scored one of the best goals of the eight, as she usually does, with technique, precision, and ruthless finishing. There are multiple defenders in front of Reiten, but that doesn’t deter her from shooting. Reiten ripped the shot past the keeper and celebrated emphatically. It’s clear to see how badly these Chelsea players want to give Emma Hayes a proper sendoff before she leaves. Guro Reiten helped do that with an incredible goal.
2. Ally Schlegel – Chicago Red Stars

Chicago might have a star in the making with Ally Schlegel alongside Penelope Hocking and Mallory Swanson. If Schlegel is able to keep supporting Swanson in this way, Chicago will be a formidable team far sooner than we thought.
The former Penn State star saw the ball come to her on the bounce, and in one motion, she took a touch and hit it on the volley. The ball was struck so sweetly that it rolled right into the far corner. The keeper was taken off guard by the shot and couldn’t even put a dive in to save it. Ally Schlegel is looking like a threat every time she plays, and this helped seal a huge win for Chicago.
1. Agnese Bonfantini – Inter Milan

No other goal came close to taking the top spot on this week’s list. Agnese Bonfantini might not score a better goal in her career, but it has to catch the eye of the Italian national team.
What’s incredible is how Bonfantini simply ran onto the ball and chipped it without needing to take a touch. Most players would need at least a small touch to set themselves up but the Italian had the confidence to chip it from just outside the box. The angle wasn’t in her favor, and the touch on the chip had to be perfect because the keeper wasn’t even out of position.
Bonfantini’s chip was audacious, to say the least; a chipped finish doesn’t get much better than this within the flow of the game.
