5. Haley Duca – Auburn Tigers

Haley Duca has taken a big step up for Auburn this year. Sheโ€™s featured in 13 games this season after playing in two games in 2022. The Tigers kept their season alive with a 2-1 win over Tennessee, and Ducaโ€™s goal was the difference. Now, it might have been intended just to be a hopeful ball into the box, but the more it traveled in the air, the more everyone watching mustโ€™ve thought it might end up in the net.

Regardless of intention, the celebration and reaction from the crowd showed just how much it meant to Auburn. Those kinds of moments are exactly what college soccer is about.

4. Ally Clark – Colorado Buffaloes

The Buffaloes were previously ranked in the Top 25 this season and should re-enter those rankings after trouncing Arizona State 4-0 at home. Now, the snow and cold weather mightโ€™ve been an advantage, but take nothing away from this goal from Ally Clark.

Clark received the pass in space and had time to line up the shot. Once she took a couple of quick steps and got her feet set, she went for goal and struck it to perfection. Clark curled the ball around the outstretched arms of the Sun Devils keeper and found the net in spectacular fashion.

3. Ally Sentnor – North Carolina Tar Heels

Ally Sentnor has been a force for the Tar Heels this season. Sheโ€™s second on the team in goals with seven and leads the team in assists with four. Opposing teams are going to have to find a way to close her down better because when she gets loose, she can finish from anywhere outside the box.

Watch the quick hesitation move that Sentnor uses to free herself for the shot. A quick dip of the shoulder onto her left foot gave her space and time needed to rip it past the keeper. Sentnorโ€™s skills are of a high level, as sheโ€™s scored great goals with both feet. Itโ€™s one thing to be able to use both feet on the pitch, and itโ€™s another to score goals with both feet. Ally Sentnor came into the college level with a ton of hype, and sheโ€™s exceeded expectations.

2. Ayo Oke – UCLA Bruins

The Cal Berkeley transfer was ready to take on her former team, to say the least. Oke got into the attack as a defender, but this was the move and finish of a striker. A beautiful step-over move followed by putting the defender in the spin cycle by turning around and going the other way. Oke was still far from the goal, but that didnโ€™t stop her from going for it.

This was fluid, almost all in one motion, with how she faked out the defender and scored the goal. Itโ€™s a goal thatโ€™s easy on the eye and can be watched over and over again, a true stunner for Ayo Oke.

1. Lindsey Horan- USWNT

Lindsey Horan is not the kind of player that can be left alone in the box at any time. Sheโ€™s as complete a player as there is in the world. Whether itโ€™s goals with her head or feet, the Lyon midfielder can do it all.

So many players would need to trap the cross or whiff on it if they were to try and shoot it on the volley. Horanโ€™s ability to see the ball in the air, locate it, and strike it is sublime. The contact she makes on the ball is perfect to the point where you can hear the thumping sound when her foot makes contact with the ball. The Great Horan strikes again and takes the top spot on this weekโ€™s list.
