Sydney FC has a young star in the making and her name is Taylor Ray. The 19-year-old is quite the sharpshooter with great technique as well. Once Ray picked the ball up outside of the box, she took a quick look up at the goal before putting her foot through the ball. The shot dipped and swerved before beating the keeper. Simply a sumptuous strike.ย

Lisa De Vanna – Melbourne Victory

Lisa De Vanna has a highlight reel full of goals where she practically dribbles past an entire team to score. This goal was no different as De Vanna shows she still has plenty left to offer. Once she goes full steam ahead towards the goal, good luck stopping her. Even with this tough angle, the legend kept her composure and slotted it home.ย

Rachel Lowe – Sydney FCย

This is a goal thatโs easy on the eye but still very difficult to score. Lowe positions herself to be ready for the shot and knows exactly what she wants to do when she gets the ball. The execution is perfect; the ball went up over the keeper while gently dipping underneath the crossbar. This goal would be higher on our list if it werenโt for the goals to come.ย

Katrina Gorry – Brisbane Roar
How's this to mark @brisbaneroar's opening goal for the season ?

The former Utah Royals player scored this from long range, and not many wouldโve expected her to take the shot on from there. Gorry noticed the keeper mightโve been slightly off her line and decided to go for it in a split second. One-touch to trap, another to get it out of her feet, followed by the third touch: a wicked strike. The ball swerved away from the keeper and past her outstretched hand. A true screamer of a goal.ย

Gracer Maherโs goal isnโt just a goal of the week candidate, itโs a goal of the season candidate in the W-League. Sheโs just inside her opponentโs half and sees the keeper out of position. Shades of Carli Lloyd against Japan as Maher goes for the audacious chip and succeeds, with the keeper just getting a hand to it. Doesnโt matter what league or who is in the game, scoring from midfield like that is world-class. Thatโs a goal of the year candidate.ย
