Bold and motivated, Aries make good leaders! As a player, they are passionate and ready to take on a challenge. Alana Cook shows her sign well as an ambitious player determined to succeed in her position. Other Aries include Hailie Mace.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Alyssa Naeher, Trinity Rodman, Casey Murphy

The Taurus sign is known for being ambitious and resilient. They’re not afraid to work hard in order to gain big rewards. Taureans are in good company with these players! Naeher and Murphy have definitely distinguished themselves as the best goalkeepers, and we all know who Trinity Rodman is. Need I say more? Other Taureans include Abby Dahlkemper, Mallory Swanson, and Rose Lavelle.ย

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Naomi Girma, Ashley Hatch, Lynn Williams, Lindsey Horan, Becky Sauerbrunn

Communication is big with the Gemini sign, which is so important in each of these players’ positions, especially for center backs Girma and Sauerbrunn. Additionally, creativity is a great aspect that Geminis showcase and is something that Hatch, Horan, and Williams display in their plays on the field. Other Geminis include Abby Wambach and Tobin Heath.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Emily Fox, Crystal Dunn, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe

Cancers are a loyal bunch, often taking on a caregiving role with those they are close to. Long-time USWNT players Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe definitely embody these qualities. Cancers also are very intuitive, which perfectly describes Emily Fox and Crystal Dunn. You’d almost think they could read minds on the field with some of the plays they create and intercept! Carli Lloyd is also a Cancer.ย

Leo (July 23 – August 22): Sophia Smith

She may be out on injury, but Sophia Smith is the epitome of what Leos represent. This sign is one of a natural leader, exactly what Smith is becoming with her goal count. What some may call theatrical, Leos call vivacious and confident. Honestly, we’ve all seen her *shrug* celebration! Ali Krieger and Kelley O’Hara are also Leos.ย

Virgo (August 23 – September 22): Midge Purce

Virgos are very logical, supportive, and consistent. They aren’t afraid to put in the work to improve skills they deem necessary. Midge Purce is just thatโ€“systematic in her style of play and consistently improving each time she hits the pitch. Another Virgo is Tierna Davidson.ย

Libra (September 23 – October 22): Catarina Macario

Libras are team players who put that put the team’s success team as a whole over personal success. They consider other perspectives when making decisions. For example, Catarina Macario is demonstrating her Libra aspects, particularly now while recovering from an injury. She has repeatedly shown her support for the team by focusing on a healthy recovery and not pushing herself to get out there immediately. Other Libras include Ashlyn Harris and Sam Mewis.ย

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21): Adrianna Franch

Often mistaken for a fire sign because of its strong nature, Scorpios are clever and calculating. They plan things thoroughly, frequently thinking ahead before others even know what’s happening. If this sounds like a perfect descriptor for a goalkeeper, you’d be correct, and Frtely fits the bill on this one. Alyssa Thompson, who got her first senior WNT cap last year, is also a Scorpio.ย

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21): Sofia Huerta, Taylor Kornieck, Andi Sullivan, Emily Sonnettย

Adaptability and flexibility are the two biggest traits of Sagittarians, which also happen to be what the midfield and defensive positions require. All four of these players know how to adapt their style of play in order to play and succeed outside of their position.ย

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19): Sam Coffey

Capricorns are optimistic, resilient, and patient. They know that hard work and perseverance is necessary to accomplish their goals. Sam Coffey is the perfect example of a Capricorn. Though she hasn’t had any official playing time with the USWNT, she is applying what she learns from her training time with the team to try and secure a place on the World Cup roster. Another USWNT Capricorn is Christen Press.ย

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Aquarians are the social butterflies of the group. They are very innovative in their way of thinking, and their actions seem to fall along the “progressive” line. Althoughโ€“oddly enoughโ€“no current USWNT players are technically Aquarius, I can think of a few players that could be named as honorary Aquarians based on this description.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20): Ashley Sanchez

Pisces are kind and empathetic towards others. They also tend to learn a great deal from the successes and failures of those around them. Though Ashley Sanchez is still one of the younger players on the squad, she has quickly picked up valuable experience from the more veteran players and made herself a staple on the team. Kristie Mewis is also a Pisces.

Zodiacs may not share every single detail about us as players, but it is neat to see how connected we are with the stars- both in soccer and in the sky.ย ย
