The equal pay movement has been a long-fought battle for the U.S. Womenโ€™s National Team and womenโ€™s soccer in general. This week, it took a huge step in the right direction when the USWNT announced that they had agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement that would guarantee them equal pay with the USMNT. Itโ€™s amazing to see the USWNT players finally getting what they deserve, and hopefully, we will see pay increases in womenโ€™s soccer as a whole.ย

Unfortunately, while they ruled it was an innocent mistake, she still picked up a ban from the sport, meaning she canโ€™t play or train.ย

Olympique Lyonnais have been crowned the 2022 UEFA Womenโ€™s Champions League winners. Lyon defeated Barcelona 3-1 in the final. All four goals came in the first half, with Amandine Henry, Ada Hegerberg, and Catarina Macario finding the back of the net for the French club. Itโ€™s the clubโ€™s eighth Champions League win.ย
