Kansas Cityโ€™s new training complex is in operation finally! This is the first womenโ€™s soccer purpose-built training facility in the US. Investment in womenโ€™s soccer has been a long-standing issue for the league, but the Currentโ€™s endeavor shows the dedication for the team, the league, and the sport; it sets the tone for other teams.ย

During the international break, Australia took on soccer powerhouse Spain. Spain won 7-0, with most of the goals coming in the second half. Many quickly criticized Australiaโ€™s coach, Tony Gustavsson, for going into the match way too defensively.

Australiaโ€™s team did have a pretty new look with many fresh faces and not a ton of the more experienced players. However, itโ€™s still disappointing to see such a promising team get beaten 7-0.ย

The USWNT played Colombia on Saturday night in a friendly match, winning 3-0. Sophia Smith scored a brace, and Taylor Kornieck earned her first cap and scored her first goal! The US will play Colombia again on Tuesday.ย

It was good to see the USWNT succeed in the second half after a scoreless first half. Their change in formation definitely made up for the loss of some key players, such as Catarina Macario. Overall, itโ€™ll be exciting to see how this new-looking team progresses.
