FootyPop: Grab a Tissue, Because This Display of Sportsmanship Is Just Too Beautiful

You know I always try to keep it real with you here at FootyPop, and in the spirit of that, it’s been exhausting to be a women’s soccer fan in the last few days. It’s the bad officiating. It’s the transphobia. It’s the abuse and assault investigations. Man, the systematic disrespect—years and years of it—really takes a toll.

But thankfully, we have this community. Together, because we love this sport so darn much, we speak up when we smell something rotten. So to all the brave, strong, and beautiful folks who have been hurt due to the toxicity outlined above, know that we here at Girls Soccer Network see you and stand with you. It’s the Soccerista Way. Alright, I’ll get off my pedestal now. Let’s dive into women’s soccer news.
