A coach’s goodbye to her team, an Erika Tymrak worldy, a Houston transfer, a Pinoe-lty, someone. stop. me. we’re. not. even. in. the body. of. the. newsletter. yet. ok. On Sunday, the Reign played its first-ever game at Lumen Field in the first-ever Reign-Sounders doubleheader. And it only makes sense that this ~first ever~ occasion was marked by the most heated rivalry in the league. Yup, Seattle welcomed Portland on the big day and beat them 2-1. A brace from Megan Rapinoe put OL Reign ahead, including yet another powerful penalty kick. Even more exciting, the match broke the record for attendance of an NWSL game at 27,278 attendees.

Ashlyn Harris recorded her 469th career save in Orlando’s 1-0 win over Gotham this weekend. That save moved her to the top of the NWSL’s All-Time Saves Leader list. But, honestly, while we’re talking keepers. Shout out to AD Franch for her 300th career save in Kansas City’s 3-0 loss to Chicago on Saturday.
