Two teams are already confirmed–Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Calgary Foothills SC.
Low of the Weekend
Signing BOTH former Chicago Red Stars. Statement from KC. Chicago once had a midfield so deep that not every starting-caliber player made the XI. Almost all of them have left, and the team is up for sale. #NWSL https://t.co/TsIsaXRcL3

In NWSL trading news, a handful of Chicago Red Stars players are leaving the team.
Veteran and team captain Vanessa DiBernardo, as well as Danny Colaprico, and Morgan Gautrat, will join new teams come 2023.
DiBernardo and Gautrat signed contracts with the KC Current and Colaprico to the San Diego Wave. Overall, this Chicago team will look a lot different next year. They already have a new coach, are working on new ownership, and will now bring in new players.
Despite these big changes, it’ll make the Red Stars an exciting team to watch next season.
News of the Weekend
In huge news, UCLA took home the NCAA Championship in extra time last week with an incredible last-second goal during the regular time to keep them alive.
Coach Margueritte Aozasa is the first-ever coach to coach her team to an NCAA college cup title in their first season with the team!
Player of the Weekend
Michelle Cooper announced her decision to go pro! We can’t wait to see what she’ll do in her career. She’s a star both for Duke and the USYNT.
Team of the Weekend
Finally, the Spirit will not have to play any matches at Segra field anymore–all of their games will be at Audi Field. This is a massive step for the team since Audi Field has significantly more seats!
