Zoe Puente, 11 Years Old, Creates #AllCanPlay

I’m Zoe Puente from Argentina, and I am a girl who plays football (soccer).  My favorite toys since I was born were footballs, and at 3 years of age, I was invited to play and train with all boys at Claudio Marangoni’s club, where my brother Tomy, who is 3 years older, plays.

Until recently, female football was not very common in my country. I played with the boys and watched all the football from the USA and Spain I possibly could. Well, this year, one of my dreams came true; I am playing and training with Boca Juniors with girls 15 to 19 years old, and I am 11. It’s one of the best clubs in the world, and it’s really hard to get accepted. Everyone wants to give me the number 10 shirt, but I always want to play with the number 13 because it’s my favorite number, and it’s what Alex Morgan wears. Also, I was born on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. I dream of playing in the Argentine selection and winning a World Cup. Who doesn’t? Orlando Pride is my favorite club in the U.S.  I also dream of studying architecture in the USA to make football stadiums and better training places.

Last year on July 4th, in the middle of the pandemic, I started #AllCanPlay.

Zoe Puente started the #AllCanPlay movement

#AllCanPlay is a campaign to give cleats and sneakers to boys and girls of all ages who can not afford them.  Helping and seeing happiness in those people with little resources is as good as scoring a hattrick. In just 8 months, we delivered 1450 pairs of sneakers (balls and T-shirts too). Now I have friends who help me, in all countries of Spanish language and in Miami too.

I’ve learned a lot about life by playing soccer, but the most important opportunity it has given me is the ability to help others. I plan on doing both things for a very long time.

If you’d like to get in touch with Zoe and her family to donate cleats, you can find her on Instagram @zoe13football
