2022 Girls Soccer Summer Camp Guide

Yay for camp! Time to start thinking about what you’re going to do this summer, and what’s so exciting is – You Have Choices! Toss the Zoom gatherings and social distancing and dive headfirst into the three-dimensional world. Camp is happening this summer, and it’s going to be better than ever. Check out some of the soccer camps below that Girls Soccer Network recommends. Some are co-ed, some are sleepaways, while others are held at colleges and universities. One thing that they all have in common is that they have great reputations. Enjoy!

East Coast

Berkshire Soccer Academy for Girls

Location: Otis, MA
Dates: Multiple Sessions!

There’s simply no camp on this list, in the U.S., in the world (??) like Berky. For two weeks in the beautiful Berkshires, campers will experience top soccer training, a nurturing environment, camp fun, and many new friendships.

Fixtures of the Berky itinerary include soccer, evening activities, and electives. Arts and crafts, paddleboarding, archery, and orienteering, are just a few of the awesome electives socceristas can choose from. In addition to these everyday features, camp goers will get visits from pros (past guests have included Rose Lavelle, Brandi Chastain, and Heather O’Reilly) and special events like the opening and closing of campfires.

A summer at Berky is fun, transformative, and educational with and without a ball at your feet.

COVID-19 Information: To protect your investment in the event that you need to cancel for ANY reason, including a reason related to Covid, you can elect to participate in our Camper Assurance Program (“CAP”).   If you purchase CAP (cost is $150/session) and cancel, your entire investment will be returned either in cash or as credit toward a future camp session for your child or a sibling.

Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy

Location: Highstown, NJ

Dates: JUNE 26-30th

The Julie Foudy & espnW Sports Leadership Academy offers a unique, transformational summer soccer camp experience for girls 12-18 years old. The three-day camp — located in both NJ and CA — is grounded in personalized instruction, leadership training, guidance from world-class role models, college prep, and of course, fun.

A typical day at JFSLA includes two soccer sessions, a leadership skills development workshop, and guest speakers/leadership activities. Participants will close out camp in a fun and intense fashion when they hit the field for the JFSLA World Cup.

Carolina Girls Soccer Camps

Location: Chapel Hill, NC

UNC; it’s an acronym synonymous with excellence in women’s soccer. Legendary coach Anson Dorrance and his best of the best staff offer several camps in the summer for socceristas ages 6-18.

These camps are designed to prepare the highly motivated, rising stars of the soccer world for the tactical demands and specific ball skills necessary to become the kind of world-class player UNC is famous for. Shooting, heading, serving, dribbling; the camp touches on it all and then implements 11v11 and small-sided games for players to gain confidence in wielding their skills in a realistic setting. All the while, players are evaluated by staff coaches and provided with comprehensive feedback about their performance throughout the week.

Mid-West

Elite 11 Soccer Camps

Location: Hudson, OH
Dates: July 17-22, 2021

Five-and-a-half to six hours of soccer each day. First-rate facilities. Small groups based on age, skill, experience, and position. These are just a few of the things that have helped Elite 11 Soccer Camps gain a reputation as some of the finest instructional soccer camps in the US.

Top instruction combined with an emphasis on fun creates a rich soil for players of all levels to build their individual skills to take back to their teams. Five days/four nights in the campus dorms in Hudson, Ohio, with evening social activities, make for a holistic and balanced summer soccer experience. Want to bring a friend? West Coast

Girls Leading Girls

Location: San Francisco, Oakland/East Bay, Sonoma/North Bay + Los Angeles
Dates: Various

Started in San Francisco in 2014, Girls Leading Girls is the first-ever all-girls soccer organization with all women coaches. Through empowerment, collaboration, and skill-building, GLG seeks to train young women in leadership and life skills through soccer. They offer a variety of summer camps for all ages and skill levels run by licensed women soccer coaches.

Their camps for more serious socceristas include technical training and an immersive college experience with SF State University players. For those interested in mixing up their soccer with other activities, GLG has an art & soccer summer camp where art and athletics become one.

Two Rivers Soccer Camps

Two Rivers Soccer Camp invites you to come to camp this summer! Learn new soccer skills, enjoy the outdoors, experience personal growth, and make new friends.

Two Rivers offers a truly unique experience for the soccer enthusiast. Our camp, featuring European and American soccer coaches, creates an authentic soccer atmosphere. The camp, located in Graeagle, California, is nestled in the majestic Sierra with two rushing streams bordering the 40-acre site.

Last year, more than 1,100 soccer players (ages 7-17) from the U.S. and around the world came to Two Rivers with a purpose; to improve their soccer and to have a great time. Many campers return to Two Rivers year after year. At Two Rivers, you will experience success and be challenged to work hard. You will leave camp with new feelings of self-confidence and inspiration to play your best soccer!

Soccer Kids America

Soccer Kids America offers youth programs for kids of all skill levels to build their confidence and self-esteem. Summer Camp includes soccer and futsal training, fun scrimmage games, and weekly special events. Kids are taught in a fun and positive environment. Campers are placed in age-appropriate groups for the daily activities.

The Gen Z empowerment program has been reimagined and redesigned to provide our attendees with a series of experiences and lessons that explore the habits, mental skills, and personal responsibilities that are critical tools for emerging leaders. 

Headed up by Jay DeMerrit, former USMNT player, and former Captain of Watford FC and Whitecaps FC, a champion of the game who truly has a passion for personal development and mentorship. His camps are not your typical soccer camp, in that you will do as much work on your journey as a human as much as you work on your game. The setting in Squamish Valley, B.C. could not be more conducive to connecting with your better self and inner baller.
