Soccerista United Spring Squad Captains!

Soccerista United is back, and we are so excited about our lineup of Squad Captains! From March to May, we have an incredible lineup of (mostly) NEW mentors who we’re excited to introduce you to.

For those of you who don’t know about SU, here’s how it works. We’ve brought together eleven college athletes who perform not only on the field but also in the classroom and community. Our “Squad Captains” are here to impart their wisdom to the future generation about aspects of the game not typically covered in practice. They will share their knowledge about various topics that we curate, such as: balancing school and soccer, taking care of your body on and off the field, navigating the recruiting process, and the importance of team dynamics.

All Socceristas must be signed up by Tuesday, February 28. To purchase or learn more, click SU Product Page.

If you have questions about whether Soccerista United is right for your child, email Sam Cary, our program director, here: scary@girlssoccernetwork.com

And now, without further adieu, meet the spring session Soccerista United mentors!

Syd has appeared in every game during her Illinois career as a central midfielder. Plus, she was Big 10 Freshman of the Week in her first season in the conference.

And she plans on playing professionally after her four years at Illinois. Her goal is to empower young women through this program and positively impact young girls aspiring to play soccer.

Allison Kamansky is currently a sophomore on the University of San Fransico Women’s Soccer team. This past fall, she started and played in all 19 games for the Dons as a defender. She played all 90 minutes in 12 of these matches.

Allison is studying Kinesiology and is known for being one of the hardest workers on and off the field. She believes a mentor would have helped her to prepare physically and mentally for college soccer and is excited to give that opportunity to someone else.

Cristiana Roque

Cristina Roque is currently a junior on the Florida State Women’s Soccer team. In 2022, Cristina played and started in 17 games and was named an All-American by College Soccer News and United Soccer Coaches. She was the ACC Goalkeeper of the year in 2022 and won the NCAA National Championship in 2021. She has also played for the Puerto Rican National Team. Cristina is excited to mentor the next generation of soccer players.

Rory Brown

In the fall, Rory Brown will be an incoming freshman at Concordia University-Ann Arbor. She currently plays for Detroit City in the USL-W League and was recognized as an All-Coference and All-District player.

Rory wants to be a mentor because of all of the coaches that have impacted her on and off the field. Soccer equipped her for the game of life, and she hopes to help other girls navigate that journey.

The college mentors attend schools across the country spanning from Santa Clara University to Florida State University. There is representation from the Big Ten, WCC, ACC, Ivy League, Big 12, and more. We will be announcing our mentors throughout the month, so stay tuned!

This opportunity is available for a $30-a-month subscription and is open now until February 28.

Soccerista United is an exciting opportunity for young Socceristas to grow their game and learn from the best, and we are so excited to get this program going again!
