Cora Colvin – Sarah Lawrence College

“Focus on the basics so you build up your confidence in the first 15 minutes. Also, try and volunteer to demonstrate drills, if you feel comfortable, so they remember you!”

Marisa Snee – University of Richmond

“Respond to coaching feedback immediately and without hesitation. If a coach is giving you feedback in a tryout, that is a great sign! They want to see how and if you can apply it.”

Mackenzie Jones – Grand Valley State University

“Donโ€™t compare yourself to those around you. Stay focused on yourself, relax, and just enjoy the game, donโ€™t overthink it.”

Ava Veith – Virginia Tech University

“All you can do is go out there and give it your best effort. There’s no point in worrying about anything else because you can’t control what coaches think or the decisions they will make. All you can do is work hard while listening to your body and when the time comes, give every playing opportunity all you’ve got!”
